OpenSim Workshop in Belgium

Several OpenSim Fellows, including Ilse Jonkers, Friedl De Groote, Massimo Sartori, Marjolein van der Krogt and Giordano Valente, are organizing an OpenSim workshop in Leuven, Belgium.

Audience

This workshop targets OpenSim users who are familiar with the tutorials but want to gain more insight in the data processing workflow in OpenSim and want support from experienced OpenSim users to import their own motion capture data in OpenSim.

Agenda

The first two days of the workshop will include brief lectures about using OpenSim for data processing (including scaling a model, inverse kinematics, and calculating muscle and joint reaction forces). Each lecture is followed by a time slot to be spent working on participant projects. Most lectures will be given during the first two days of the workshop whereas the third day will be devoted to processing the data you bring to the workshop. For example, you might want to calculate muscle and joint forces during movement, generate simulations from motion capture data collected in your lab. You will have the opportunity to work in small breakout groups with OpenSim experts on your research problems. The success of the workshop depends on you bringing specific data you will work on.

More information, including a detailed agenda, is available on the workshop wiki.
